December Update

Greetings from the Northwest Region! We are in the middle of a joyous yet hectic season, and I thank you for taking time to stop and pray for events that will culminate next summer!  It is exciting to see what God is doing, and we want to keep you in the loop, particularly with the area of Staten Island, our focus of prayer.

Points of Praise

....Praise for a very positive meeting recently held with key leaders, where the borough president of Staten Island committed to this event!

....Praise for the Christmas party held Tuesday for key leaders to celebrate our Savior's birth, for the time of fellowship and refreshment they enjoyed.

Points of Prayer

•    Pray for the above mentioned meeting (with State Island borough president) and all that goes forward from it: the coordination of service to projects, schools, and other community outreaches.
•    Pray for the Unified Youth Service to be held later this spring that will close a week of school assemblies, and for continued guidance and direction in all the details.  Pray for continued favor from the Lord in the many meetings that are taking place as events are shaping up.
•    Lift up the Steering Committee of about 15 key leaders that will be meeting in the next few weeks. Wisdom is needed, as well as direction as they plan their outreach strategy for the upcoming evangelistic events.  We ask that the Lord will pour out His Spirit on them as they plan, and share His thoughts with them.
•    Lastly, prayer is needed for God's unity and peace on Staten Island, and in all of New York City, especially at this time. Just last month we prayed for unity and for peace as we gathered for our monthly prayer call, and this December the need is even greater after recent events in this area.  Pray for healing of the divide which has widened, and protection for all, specifically the Luis Palau staff who are now living in the greater New York City area, preparing for this event. Pray for Director Tom Mueller and his wife and young family, living in New York City, as they adjust to the area and the pace of life through the Christmas season.

"May He strengthen you, in His glorious might, with ample power to meet whatever comes with fortitude, patience and joy, and to give thanks to the Father."  Colossians 1:9-12
I pray you and your loved ones have a joyous Christmas, and rest in knowing Emmanuel, that God is with us!

Blessings to you,
Kim Grimberg
